Hi. I’m Sam. I currently work at Microsoft as a software developer. Here is my life story.
I grew up in Maryland right near the DC border. I went to elementary school, then middle and high school. Then I went to college and got a BS in Computer Science. During that span I have enjoyed playing many sports, which include football, softball, baseball, soccer and basketball. I read a lot of books and occasionally review them. I take the bus to work and believe strongly in a very few things.

Why have the site? Like I said, I’m really interested in technology, and especially in the more practical side. It all started with http://fxstudios.net/sstrasser, followed shortly by http://www.strassdesign.com (as some of you may recall). There was http://databuild.net as well, though I choose to forget that period of my life. So I’ve always had a site.
But why this site in particular? Mostly, to be honest, it gives me a place to let my mom know what is going in my daily life without a daily call to her. Hi mom. Also so that my friends and family can keep track of the goings-on.
More than that, though, I do a lot of things all over the internet. I find that I need a unifying location for all of these things. I think the best way to understand what the site is about is to look through my categories, and my archives, and see for yourself.
