TSA: Keeping Me Safe…From Learning

This little story is necessary info, so please bare with me:

I had an amzing weekend everyone. I was up in Madison Wisconsin for Hallow’s Eve eve eve eve, and the previous couple days. I can’t say more here.

Then, bright and early (7am central) I got on a flight to Detroit and then on to BWI. I showered quickly, made it to my grandfather’s 90th birthday party which went well. I came home, slept, ate, voted and then went to Dulles. I arrived at 9:21 for my 9:50 flight to JFK, which I really wanted to get on considering my wild weekend must end sometime.

But it has not yet. I’m in my house down here in MD pining for my own bed back at school. I can’t use my computer (which is my life) since I forgot my charger. I haven’t slept a full night in my own bed in two weeks, and now one more day has been added to that. Dang.

To be honest, I’m a pretty laid back dude and I don’t mind being at home. But why on earth am I at home? How could it be that my not boarding that flight had anything to do with security at all. It was not as though I didn’t make it to the gate; I was not permitted to go through security at all, as if the time that I arrived had anything to do with anything. I suppose it could be a logistical problem with their computers, but that’s plain silly if you ask me. I’m done ranting now since I need to go to bed to catch my early-bord flight tomorrow. And I will be sleeping soundly, knowing that my country is protecting me.

you will be happy to know that the shfit in security lines is required by the construction at Dulles. Once all the construciton is finsihed, there well be “a new security mezzanine” in the airport.
