I recently got a Blackberry Pearl. I’m sure many of posts will refer to it, since it is the best thing to happen to me, ever. Well not really but you know what I mean. After getting it, I changed my main calendar to Outlook. I previously used Google calendar. There was a tough period of adjustment and, I’ll admit, there are somethings I miss. Still, an AJAX app has the fundamental flaw* of needing an internet connection, and I find myself in more and more situations where the just isn’t one, and I really need to look at my calendar. Of course, you say, just sync the Google cal with your Pearl and then you are all set, and that would work. Still, the majority of my calendaring is done on the computer and not the phone, which I consider basically read-only or for quick appointments I need to remember. And it turns out if you are me, then you can handle the crazy and advanced features of Outlook, until you actually require them. There’s no way I could go back to Google Calendar now.
All that is to say that I’m a computer fashion expert, or more that I often change The One And Only Way on a whim. This is sort of an introduction and sort of a warning; basically, I’ll tell you what I do and not what to do. But its what you should do. At least this season.
