Geotagged the pictures

I put very rough geographic info on all the pics I had, and you can now look at them on a map at http://www.flickr.com/photos/samstrasser/sets/72157606951163982/map/. Pretty, pretty, pretty cool.

The Pictures

I put a whole lot of pictures on Flickr.  I plan on geotagging them (adding geographic coordinates) so that you can tell where we took them.  That process will take a while, so you can wait for me to do that.

Last day! Jackson to Seattle

We woke up later than intended, probably because we were sleeping outside.  We packed up and hit the drove, with Greg driving first.  Greg’s drive took us through Yellowstone, which I’ve seen but is still amazing.  We took quite a while, stopping at Old Faithful and some hot springs, as well as for several random [...]

Day 2 in Jackson, WY

We loved Jackson so much on the first day that we canceled Missoula ad added another day at the ranch.
On day two, we woke up, actually making breakfast this time, only to fall back asleep after we ate.  Headed into Teton Village for lunch.  After lunch we went for horseback ride #2 with the new [...]

Day 1 in Jackson, WY

We woke up very early for us, maybe at about 9 or so, but nonetheless managed to miss breakfast. We had some coffee instead and then started on a tour of the ranch. Saw some things, it was pretty cool. Before lunch we jumped in the “pool” which is really just a [...]

Casper to Snake River

Having gone to bed slightly later than planned, we decided to sleep a little before going to Jackson. We slept until about 1 and then woke up to meet Matt’s mom. She gave us a nice tour of the house with some beautiful paintings. Eventually we left and headed west toward the [...]

Night out in Casper

We met up with Matt, our contact in Casper. We put our stuff at his parents house and got ready for the night. We watched Phelps win his 8th gold, which was kind of cool, and then met two of Matt’s friends and headed out. Dwayne, one of the friends, drove a [...]

Night in Denver

Stopped at Vinny’s house in Colorado Springs, where we met Mr. and Mrs. Vin. They cooked a nice steak dinner with potatoes and salad as we watched the Olympics. Phelps is so good at swimming.
Anyway, we had a few drinks though Seve didn’t since he was driving us to Denver that night. [...]

To and from Santa Fe

We left Guthrie in a good mood, with Seve set to drive. We drove west basically straight to Santa Fe, stopping at Hooter's for no particular reason.
We got to Santa Fe early in the evening and hung out with Tom, Lara, Noah, and Mason. It was nice to see them, though there is [...]

Guthrie, OK

We woke in Texarkana and toured around which you can see from the pics I posted.  Then Greg drove to our next destination, Guthrie, Oklahoma.  It was a wholly uneventful drive.  We sang to some classic songs like Love Song and A Milli.
Let me take a moment to explain this destination.  It will help if [...]
